Having joined Bell Cornwell in 2007 as a Senior Planner, Nick is one of our longest serving planners. He became a Partner in 2019. Nick leads our Hampshire team of Chartered Town Planners and is responsible for ensuring our high standard of advice is upheld across the practice.
Expertise
Acting on behalf of an eclectic range of clients, Nick’s extensive planning knowledge and strategic input has led to an impressive track record of positive decision notices. He has built a strong and respected reputation which is why his clients keep coming back to him time and time again. Nick’s work extends across all development sectors and throughout the UK, with particular expertise in Development Management, Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas, Site Promotions, Permitted Development Rights and Certificates of Lawfulness.
Experience
Prior to working at Bell Cornwell, Nick spent a number of years in local authority as both a Planning Officer and Conservation Officer for Blaby District Council, Rushmoor Borough Council and Hart District Council. It was during his time in these roles that Nick developed a robust understanding of the intricacies involved in planning which allows him to effectively navigate the red tape today.
Education
Nick graduated with a degree in City and Regional Planning and a Diploma in Town Planning from Cardiff University and then went on to become a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute during his time with Hart DC in 2005.
